Canal du Midi

I've been meaning to get down to the Canal du Midi for some time and attempt photographing it, but for some reason have never got round to it until now. Well yesterday I did finally get around to it. It's an amazing piece of engineering and very beautiful, a tribute to the 12,000 men that worked on building the canal. It's very easy to follow the route of the canal from the road by following the line of 250,000 trees that were planted along the 240km canal.
