About Me

I'm a Welshman, born and bred in the beautiful Welsh county of Pembrokeshire. Over the years I have lived in North West London, Northamptonshire and currently split my time between the stunning Languedoc region of Southern France and equally beautiful Pembrokeshire coast in South West Wales. I have previously worked in the Electronics Industry and most recently developed my own online business.

For as long as I can remember my father has been a keen photographer as was his father before him. Dad still works mainly with film and develops all his own photographs. In fact I get the distinct impression that the developing side of photography is the part he loves most. He has also delved into digital photography in recent years and currently works as a freelance photographer for one of the local Pembrokeshire newspapers.

It would seem that the family interest in photography has rubbed off onto the 3rd generation of Turner's. My first SLR was a Pentax ME which I aquired in 1988. I took this camera Globe Trotting with me in 1989 on an 18 month around the World trip, taking in the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Bangladesh and Nepal. Since my round the World trip, I have maintained an interest in photography, but have only recently renewed my interest in SLR photography, albeit this time around in the form of DSLR photography.

More recent trips include visits to Italy, Spain, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand, plus of course photographic outings around my 'home' countries of France and Wales. Photograph's from all of these trips can be found across all Galleries.

I hope you enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I love taking them.

Thanks for looking
Simon.
